Room ventilation calculator.
Enter room dimensions, occupancy and your design criterion. Calculate airflow, air changes and the equivalent rate per person.
Know what
the result includes.
Start with the ventilation strategy
Room volume = length × width × height. For an air-change criterion, airflow in L/s = volume × air changes per hour ÷ 3.6. A per-person criterion multiplies occupants by the entered L/s/person; a floor-area criterion multiplies area by L/s/m².
Choose rates appropriate to the activity, pollutant loads, occupancy, building type and project requirements. The example inputs are not prescribed ventilation rates or evidence of compliance. Supply, extract, transfer air, filtration, draughts, acoustics and system resistance still need designing.
The result is an airflow requirement from your chosen criterion, not a fan selection. Nuaire Selector ↗ can help with product selection once the complete duty is known.
Calculations run in your browser. Engin does not save these inputs.
